You spend a lot of time defending the "New South." You keep telling your friends from the North how far Alabama has come in the last 30 years. You remind people that you aren't married to your cousin, living in a trailer, wearing a hoop skirt on the weekends, or meeting anyone who vehemently defends segregation. And, then someone dumps a toilet in your front yard. (No pun intended.)
