Again with the neighbor...

What is the absolute last thing you want in a neighbor (other than someone who is visited by the SWAT team and you later find yourself telling the media that he/she was a "quiet person" who "kept to themselves" despite all of the bodies in the backyard)? Answer: Daily practice of a musical instrument. Yesterday evening, I heard the distinct sound of scales coming from below. It seems new neighbor has taken to a woodwind or brass instrument of some sort. I'm thinking clarinet or french horn, but it could be a recorder for all I know. What I will say is that scales indicate the very early stages of musical study, and this concerns me. I hope he's a quitter.
